  Soren Weselake

  Soren Weselake is a Canadian cyclist from Portage la Prairie who competes at a high level in both mountain bike and road disciplines. He burst onto the national stage at the 2025 Canada Summer Games where he won gold in the men’s cross-country mountain bike race and bronze in the men’s individual time trial — performances that also led to his selection as Team Manitoba’s Closing Ceremony flag-bearer.

  A versatile under-23 rider with international experience, Soren holds a UCI/MTB world ranking among his peers and has posted strong results at Canada Cups and World Cup events.

  Off the bike he’s known for leadership and mentorship within his provincial program, and for helping grow mountain biking in Indigenous communities across Manitoba. He’s also a student in Education at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, balancing academics with a busy racing calendar.
