Live Sessions

  • Scott Neuendorff

Scott Neuendoff came through UMFM recently to help support his up coming West to East Canadian Cross Country Tour. Scott usually has a band in tow, a few bands actually! However he’s decided to go it alone, mostly because this isn’t your typical tour, he’s just hanging out with friends in every town and happens to have an acoustic guitar with him just in case a show pops up! So here’s a little taste of this incredible performer laying down his music bold and solo.

  • Murray A. Lightburn

Singer-songwriter Murray A. Lightburn stopped by while on tour with Death From Above 1979. He played a pair of songs from his latest album, Hear Me Out and sat down for an interview to discuss making the record.

  • The Small Glories

Set to release their new album Assiniboine & The Red at the West End Cultural Centre next Friday May 24th, The Small Glories (Cara Luft & JD Edwards) stopped by the station to play live acoustic versions of the first two singles from the record on TGIFR.

  • Hush Pup

In town to play a show at Forth, Toronto act Hush Pup took some time to stop by for an afternoon session.

  • Gleneagle

In town to play The Windsor tonight (Thursday, May 2nd), Vancouver quartet Gleneagle stopped by the station to lay down a live session before soundcheck.

  • Apollo Suns

Storming up the charts with their latest album, Dawn Offerings, Winnipeg instrumental band Apollo Suns dropped by to play live and talk about the record with Dashak and Stephen on the Chart Revue show.

  • Westmnstr

Local rockers WESTMNSTER dropped by the studio to showcase their new sound. A mature and completive understanding of music and their youthful surroundings. This is a band to watch!

  • Piper Hayes & Annie Sumi

Return guest Piper Hayes (of Piper & Carson) brings along her friend Annie Sumi. The pair are in town to play a house concert and duet on a trio of tracks.

  • Proper Operation

Winnipeg’s very own Proper Operation smashed their way through our tiny studio and made it sound like a warehouse sized circle pit! Make sure to check these guys out as soon as you can! Check the links for their latest show dates:

  • Partner

In town to play the 2019 Big Fun Festival, Polaris nominated duo Partner stopped by UMFM to lay down three tracks before their show at the Good Will.
