On this 4th episode, I get the chance to sit down with my guest Dr. Rumel Halder who shares with us many great stories about his journey of coming to Canada and the time he spent living in St. John's, Newfoundland. We also talk about his research on Bangladeshi immigrant communities in Toronto and the various ways people negotiate and define their cultural identities in new places. This topic has become especially important to anthropology as it explores how living trans-nationally amidst a more globalized world has changed the way culture is experienced by people.
