My guest this episode is Garth Sutton. Garth is currently a PhD student in archaeology at the University of Manitoba who is interested in studying Indigenous ceramic technology. In our conversation, Garth shares with us how his time doing archaeological fieldwork in Manitoba has been closely tied to his relationships with the Peguis First Nation community and spending time outside in the bush. We also cover the topic of Cultural Resource Management (CRM), and why most archaeological work in Canada is focused in this area.
