Episode 9: Sunshine House
Sunshine House is a drop-in centre located at the intersection of Logan and Sherbrook which largely serves street-involved and homeless people, many of whom have addictions and are affected by HIV and HCV. Sunshine House offers basic support services which include meals, laundry facilities, shower facilities, clothing depot, computer access, access to harm reduction materials, and community and resource information. It is one of the only places in Winnipeg that will allow solvent users, which is an extremely marginalized population.

Levi Foy, Executive Director
Levi Foy is a two-spirit member of the Couchiching First Nation, raised on Treaty Two territory and formally educated in Winnipeg and Guelph, ON. A long time activist for LGBT+ rights and co-founder of numerous weekly community drag events, Levi also began Canada’s first Two-Spirit Pow-Wow and the Ghiziwenimin group to support queer newcomers to Canada. Foy, who also performs as local drag queen superstar Prairie Sky, was the co-curator of the GORGE Festival and was voted one of the Top Forty under 40 by CBC Manitoba in 2018.
