CommUnity204, which is a vol­un­teer orga­ni­za­tion most­ly made up of youth and young adults who were or are involved with Child and Fam­i­ly Services.

The group works to help mar­gin­al­ized peo­ple with access to basic needs, such as water, cloth­ing and food, harm reduc­tion, safe­ty and hous­ing in col­lab­o­ra­tion with sim­i­lar groups across the city. 

They believe in heart work and peo­ple help­ing people!

    Daniel Hidalgo is a single father who took his experience in Manitoba's child welfare system and started Comm.UNITY.204. Daniel focuses his efforts on helping marginalized community members to access basic needs, harm reduction, and assurance of safety. His goal is to create a whole new way to provide positive connections that can improve the lives of kids and youth. Daniel was nominated as one of forty finalists for the CBC Future 40 in the social activism, volunteering and community category!
