Latin Explosion!
The original LATIN EXPLOSION radio show (1972−1982) goes back to Chicago at the peak of the Salsa music explosion! First launched as a midnight show seven days a week on WEDC 12.40AM, the program’s last years were on another Chicago station, WOJO FM 105.1 weekday afternoons and finally late night.
Incredibly, we were able to get LATIN EXPLOSION on the air again after moving to Sarasota. In June 2018 LATIN EXPLOSION launched as a two hour show Friday mornings 7 – 9AM Thank you, WSLR 96.5FM Sarasota Community Radio and Sarasota music fans!
Big thanks to the listeners, music lovers and supporters across North America that tune in week after week to hear the best in 20th Century Salsa, Latin Jazz and Afro-Cuban music!
