Whoop It Up...With UMFM
August 12, 2022: Episode 7: Rob Knaggs

On Episode 7, Broose is joined by the soundscape cellist wonder from the land down under, the amazing Rob Knaggs!
A hustler of dreams and opportunities, Knaggs has performed for belugas on the Hudson Bay, collaborated with throat singers, didgeridoo/yidaki players, and members of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. He has shared stages with Tim Hecker, The Saints’ Ed Kuepper, and toured Australia wide with acclaimed US singer-songwriter Toni Childs. Drawing from ambient post-rock and the noisy fury of punk, armed with an electric cello and loop station, Knaggs’ original works move from fiery fuzzing roars to delicate meditative shimmers, showcasing a dynamic performance that is inspiring and bittersweet.
Don’t miss Rob as he takes the stage for a performance at this year’s Whoop & Hollar Folk Festival in beautiful Portage La Prairie — Saturday, August 27th at 1:20PM.
