U Talk

Today we’ll be discussing some of the early people who immigrated to Canada, the Voyageurs and the Mennonites.

Every February, we Celebrate Voyageur, Métis, and First Nations histories here in Winnipeg, with the largest winter festival in Western Canada, Festival du Voyageur. Chantal tells us more.

When you drive outside of Winnipeg, you quickly realize how much Southern Manitoba is Farmland. But who started these farms so many years ago? One group was the Mennonites.

Let’s take a deep dive into one group of early farmers, the Mennonites. We have Conrad from the Mennonite Archives share their history with us.
