Thank God It's Free Range!
September 30, 2022
On October 6th at the Park Theatre, Polaris Prize nominee Basia Bulat brings her retrospective/reinterpretation album The Garden to a Winnipeg audience. I got to speak to her about making the record and more. Opening for Bulat that evening is Saskatoon artist Katie Tupper whose EP, Towards the End, is a phenomenal slice of neo-soul. We spoke about how she found that sound and what’s next.
Plus, since September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation all other music is by Indigenous artists.
The video for the Adrian Sutherland song mentioned in the broadcast can be found here.
