Our guest Jere­my Mor­ris is the founder of Pod­cas­tRE (which is short for Pod­cast Research), a search­able, research­able archive of pod­cast­ing cul­ture. Mor­ris is Asso­ciate Pro­fes­sor, Media and Cul­tur­al Stud­ies in the Depart­ment of Com­mu­ni­ca­tion Arts at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Wis­con­sin-Madi­son and that’s where Pod­cas­tRE was launched. We dig into the func­tion­al­i­ty of Pod­cas­tRE and talk about some of the rea­sons why schol­ars are inter­est­ed in research­ing podcasts.
