When marchers set out on their 500 kilo­me­tre trek from Sud­bury to Par­lia­ment Hill, orga­niz­ers blessed their efforts to com­mem­o­rate the vic­tims of res­i­den­tial schools. The name they chose was Blind­ing Light- Tiger Lil­ly. The lily stands atop a tall strong stem. Petals are com­plex and mul­ti-lay­ered. And they take years to flower.
