Hand-Clappin Rock n Roll and Rhythm n Blues from Red Prysock, then Diz & Getz play Ellington to wrap hour number one. For our second half enjoy South Beach salsa followed by 1960s Machito. New released this week come from trombonist Audrey Ochoa, pianist Bill Heid and guitarist Randy Napoleon. Hard bop is played by trumpeter Freddie Hubbard, a couple vocalists in Eddie Jefferson and Blossom Dearie follow. Prime big band provided by Thad Jones caps our offerings.
