In the first half-hour, Host Tiokasin Ghosthorse wel­comes Max Nester­ak, reporter and pro­duc­er of Uproot­ed: The 1950s Plan to Erase Indi­an Coun­try” (Nov. 1, 2019) Min­neso­ta Pub­lic Radio and APM Reports). Max is a reporter for a soon-to-be-announced news out­let in Min­neso­ta, part of the States News­room net­work. Pre­vi­ous­ly, he’s worked at Min­neso­ta Pub­lic Radio and Nation­al Pub­lic Radio.

In the sec­ond half-hour, Tiokasin talks with Oqwilowg­wa, Kim Recal­ma-Clute­si of the Qualicum First Nation, British Colum­bia, Cana­da. Oqwilowg­wa is a cross-cul­tur­al inter­preter, teacher, researcher and writer on top­ics of eth­no­bi­ol­o­gy and trib­al his­to­ry. She is also a non­prof­it direc­tor, polit­i­cal orga­niz­er, and award-win­ning video­g­ra­ph­er and film pro­duc­er.
