Fascinatin' Rhythm

Tribute To Irving Berlin-Celebrating arguably America’s greatest composer ever, having written not only the music, but lyrics to several hundreds of songs for film and broadway. Only Cole Porter remains in his class as both superb lyricist and composer. As Jerome Kern once declared: Irving Berlin has no place in AMerican music — he is American music!”. Some of his classics include White Christmas’, Easter Parade’, ALways’, Cheek To CHeek’ God Bless America’ , I;ve Got my Love To Keep Me Warm’, How Deep Is The Ocean’, and Puttin’ On The Ritz’ just to name a very few.He was born on May 11, 1888, and passed away on Sept. 22, 1989 at the incredible age of 101 in New York City. Only Eubie Blake, the ragtime and broadway composer lived as long in so far as American composers go.
