Fascinatin' Rhythm

On today’s show we will remember two of the greatest jazz icons of all time; namely saxaphonist/trumpeter/arranger/composer Benny Carter (Aug. 8/1907-July 12/2003); and Canadian pianist/composer Oscar Peterson (Aug. 15/1925-Dec. 232007). They both left us with an incredible legacy of music that will influence jazz artists for generations to come. Arguably, their most famous works include The Kansas Suite’ (Carter) and The Canadiana Suite’(Peterson). But there are so many other songs to cherish that they created.…long live their music.
