Winnipeg Music Project Songwriter's Group

The Winnipeg Music Project has partnered with Songwriters Association of Canada to produce a 10-session songwriters group. The series was created to fulfill a need for stronger creative development opportunities for local songwriters and to begin establishing an effective and notable songwriting community in Winnipeg. The Winnipeg Music Project will give attendees the opportunity to receive constructive feedback from their peers and from established local songwriters who are scheduled to feature throughout the series. The workshops are pre-register and drop-in style and will be hosted in the Forth Gallery. Guest Songwriters and Mentors will be invited to talk about royalties, funding, social media and more.
For each event, participants are required to bring 10+ printed copies of their lyrics, and an instrument or way to play a backing track while performing their song. A keyboard can be available if given 48 hours notice.
