Whoop & Hollar Folk Festival has announced its 2023 performer lineup, with over 15 musical acts to enjoy this summer.

The 9th annual festival happens on August 26th and 27th in Portage la Prairie and will showcase a fresh, eclectic mix of both emerging and seasoned artists from across Manitoba. Festival-goers can expect to hear a wide range of folk music, as well as other genres like pop, indie rock, country, Latin jazz, and children’s music.

This year, the festival will include a new community outreach event on Sunday, featuring free concerts at the Ukrainian Connection Bandstand in Portage la Prairie’s Island Park. Regular programming, workshops, jam sessions, and tent camping will take place at Cottonwood Acres outside of Portage la Prairie, the main festival site, on Saturday.
