UMFM May Programming Update
We just wanted to update you as we have received what looks like our current plan for the summer.
As of right now, it looks like we will not be back in the studio live until August 31 at the earliest. We are very appreciative of the University of Manitoba’s efforts to ensure that the space that we will be going back to is safe and are willing to be patient until we have proper cleaning measures and supplies in place to keep it safe for all of the members of our radio family.
We would like to salute all of our hosts who have worked so diligently from their homes to continue to produce great programming during the shutdown. Of course we would also like to thank all of you out there, our loyal listeners and supporters, who have buoyed our spirits through your unwavering love and positive comments during this. We’ve got some friends, both new and old, who have stepped in to provide some programming to help us fill some gaps while we are in these special circumstances — you can find all of the show listings here for these episodes that we’ve dubbed “Live From A Lockdown” — we can’t thank them enough for their contributions during these strange times.
This is all subject to change, so we will keep you in the loop if that happens! Patience is currently the name of our game, but we are continuing to make plans for our inevitable return to our radio home.
Obviously we will endeavour to keep providing our community with as much of our regular programming as we can on a weekly basis, and hope to keep you to date with the latest information whenever possible.
