The 150+ artists revealed today are added to a list of more than 30 pre­vi­ous­ly announced artists, con­firm­ing over 200 acts to per­form at this year’s festival!

New­ly announced addi­tions to this year’s line­up include resound­ing indie rock leg­ends Built to Spill, acclaimed ambi­ent singer-song­writer Grouper, SoCal pop punk heroes Joyce Manor, min­i­mal­ist indie lumi­nar­ies Low, beloved Cal­gary musi­cian and visu­al artist Chad Van­Gaalen, surf noir” four-piece La Luz, psych-heavy garage rock trio L.A. Witch, indus­tri­al hor­ror­core rap artist and 2020 Polaris Prize-win­ner Back­xwash, accom­plished Cana­di­an singer-song­writer Julie Doiron, pro­lif­ic rap­per and pro­duc­er R.A.P. Fer­reira, Olympia’s heavy-as-hell death met­al four-piece Mor­tifer­um, trail­blaz­ing doom-meets-noise project Body Void, Cal­gary-based doom met­al duo Mares of Thrace, and recent­ly-estab­lished heavy met­al out­fit Worse, fea­tur­ing for­mer mem­bers of Pride Tiger and 3 Inch­es of Blood. These acts join already announced artists such as guest cura­tor Sudan Archives, Princess Nokia, Alex Cameron, SASA­MI, Lydia Lunch RETRO­VIRUS, PEARS, Frankie and the Witch Fin­gers, Pan­tayo, and many, many more. 

Today’s announce­ment also includes Mint Records sta­ple Neck­ing, Big Rig, the new twang­mo” project from The Court­neys’ Jen Payne, head-turn­ing alt-pop trio Lit­tle Destroy­er, quirky art rock out­fit Moth­er­hood, Toron­to-based garage punks Wine Lips, toe-tap­ping jan­gle-pop trio Motorists, alt‑R&B elec­tron­ic artist Janette King, jazz-tinged exper­i­men­tal rock group Heav­en For Real, alter­na­tive singer-song­writer Mar­lae­na Moore, and Mon­tréal avant-pop artist Hélène Bar­bi­er.

Last­ly, we love to show­case local tal­ent and have plen­ty of Cal­gary artists join­ing the 2022 line­up, includ­ing indus­tri­al noise punks DRI HIEV, always-evolv­ing psych pop quar­tet Sunglac­i­ers, indie dream rock out­fit Crys­tal Eyes, adored singer-song­writer Saman­tha Sav­age Smith, West­ern-influ­enced prairie punks Strip­mall, exper­i­men­tal post-punk group Brain Bent, the incom­pa­ra­ble rap stylings of Tea Fan­nie, true-school hip-hop duo Drag­on Fli Empire, Indige­nous techno/​electronic artist sean beaver, and post-punk super­group Stuc­co, fea­tur­ing mem­bers of DRI HIEV, Slut Prophet, Win­dow Lamp, and more.
