Theatre Reviews

In this adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic story, a group of witches scheme to eliminate all children in Britain. They turn a boy into a mouse but he and his grandmother devise a plan to stop the witches.

The Witches is a dark comedy that failed to connect with the opening night audience. The show earned only occasional laughter and I believe the material was too dark for this audience. Generally, the performances were energetic, with the highlight being a campy performance by the Grand High Witch.
