The Great & Powerful Tim: Clue Dunnit?
Over the last few years, we’ve seen more and more magic shows at the Fringe. In this show, Tim Hoffman does some astounding mind reading and card tricks, but I found his comedy and character to be very silly. It took him several minutes to get to the first trick as the show needed to have the “real” magician killed so his character of the butler could fill in. He also had the audience read a lot of silly insults, which weren’t very funny. Lastly, I couldn’t understand why his character was so insecure as he was a terrific magician. Overall, this is terrific magic poorly packaged.
