Muse: an experiment in storytelling and life drawing
In this art class, Cameryn Moore is a live model who strikes different poses in the nude and the audience sketches what they see. Moore also allows the audience to ask questions and on Sunday afternoon, she talked about her career, how she became a live model and fat shaming. The experience level of the audience varied from visual artists (someone even brought their own set of colours) to art students and the general public. At the start of the show, I was unsure if I wanted to participate in this show (because I’m not a good drawer), but by the end, my drawings looked better and I was comfortable enough to share them with the rest of the class. This was a different Fringe experience that I enjoyed.
