Theatre Reviews

In a very early Winnipeg Fringe, perhaps the first, Lorri Millan and Shawna Dempsey did a show called We’re Talking Vulva.” I wish I had seen that show, because it is a big part of Fringe lore. This show, superficially at least, explores the same territory. It has two talented performers with great chemistry doing a series of sketches about female genitalia. That might seem gross, but it isn’t. The performers play for laughs, but always with a serious undercurrent. The writing is sharp and the physicality of the performers is great.

I hope to see these Vancouver performers again.
