Theatre Reviews

Sketch comedy is hard to do at the best of times — you have to create a situation, characters, introduce a twist or two and come up with a snappy ending in only a few minutes.

The sketches in Family Dinner 2 were generally not that funny — although I thought the hockey mom and our song were brilliant. Unfortunately, most of the sketches were linear, with the characters discussing the same ideas over and over again without any plot twists. There was also noticeably less laughter from the audience during the second half of the show.
