Theatre Reviews

In this one-person show, the clown Bad Baby begins by discussing the rules for putting on a Fringe show but we soon realize that this is a show about her many failures — such as her inability to build a balloon animal, her forgetfulness to bring gifts and her inability to take the next step in a relationship with an audience member.

Unfortunately, I didn’t connect with the character of Bad Baby as I found her to be very nervous and anxious (which I liked) but also having too high pitched of a voice and doing these constant weird hip thrusts (which I didn’t like). I would have preferred a quieter and shier character.

Even though this show has merit, I just didn’t connect with her character and that prevented me from fully enjoying the experience.
