Theatre Reviews

This adaptation of a Hungarian folk tale tells the story of a rooster who attempts to regain what was stolen by an evil cabbage. This show combines humour, dance, song and audience participation to tell a fun little story. Dance is an element we don’t see too often in kids theatre, but it worked very well in this piece. The kids in the audience seemed captivated by the story and so was I. However, the one thing I would have changed is having the character talk to the stage manager, which unnecessarily ruined the illusion of theatre. Still, this is a fun kids show that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
