Win­nipeg Veg­Fest aims to fos­ter com­pas­sion for ani­mals, pro­mote eco-friend­ly liv­ing, encour­age healthy liv­ing, and intro­duce the rapid­ly grow­ing world of plant-based cuisine. 

Win­nipeg Veg­Fest will be a live­ly, enter­tain­ing, and action-packed day of good food, dynam­ic speak­ers, provoca­tive dis­cus­sions, enter­tain­ment, children’s activ­i­ties, and so much more,” says event co-orga­niz­er Jason Han­nan. Veg­Fest has become the veg­an community’s favourite annu­al event. We’re absolute­ly thrilled to be bring­ing it back this year!” 

Win­nipeg Veg­Fest will fea­ture an all-star line­up of keynote speak­ers, including: 

  • Gen­e­sis But­ler, Ted Talk speak­er, Youth Cli­mate and Ani­mal Activist, and Dis­ney+ Mar­vel Superhero 
  • Dominick Thomp­son, Mul­ti-sport Ath­lete, Writer, Founder of Eat What Ele­phants Eat 
  • Dr. Har­ri­et Davis, Board-cer­ti­fied Fam­i­ly Med­i­cine and Sports Med­i­cine Physician 
  • Kait­lyn Mitchell, Direc­tor of Legal Advo­ca­cy, Ani­mal Justice 
  • Angela Tuck­er, Cana­di­an Cer­ti­fied Coun­sel­lor, Reg­is­tered Dietit­ian, and Cer­ti­fied Yoga Teacher 

Win­nipeg Veg­Fest will also fea­ture a ven­dors mar­ket and a food court fea­tur­ing Winnipeg’s finest plant-based cui­sine! Some of this year’s par­tic­i­pat­ing restau­rants include Bright Side Kitchen, Roughage Eatery, Affin­i­ty Veg­e­tar­i­an Gar­den, Charis­ma of India, House of Taste, Good Lands Café, Pan­da Tea, and more.

Win­nipeg Veg­Fest will be held on Sat­ur­day, Sep­tem­ber 9, 2023 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Win­nipeg. Admis­sion is free and open to the public.

Win­nipeg Veg­Fest was launched in 2016 to serve as a hub for all things veg­an in beau­ti­ful Man­i­to­ba. Veg­Fest hosts a large and live­ly fes­ti­val each fall, bring­ing togeth­er a rapid­ly grow­ing com­mu­ni­ty of ani­mal activists, envi­ron­men­tal­ists, and health enthu­si­asts. Togeth­er, they cel­e­brate a lifestyle of love and com­pas­sion for the ani­mals, for the plan­et, and for our health.
