Making his Winnipeg Fringe Festival show debut in 1993 (or was it 1992?), Stephen Sim has been thrilling audiences for thirty years. Sim has toured the world doing improv shows. Organizing and hosting the Big Stupid Improv Show since 1999, founding CRUMBS in 1997 and the Winnipeg Improv Festival in 2000. His boundless improvisational skills have earned him international acclaim, placing him firmly in the spotlight as a world-renowned performer. However, even with his unparalleled success, there remains one uncharted territory that he has yet to conquer — until now.

The Big Stupid Improv Show” has long been a highlight of the Winnipeg Fringe, uniting talented improvisers, comedians and performers in uproarious displays of creativity. Yet, Sim’s latest endeavour, The SMALLEST Stupid Improv Show,” dares to defy expectations. Prepare to witness an intimate, one-of-a-kind extravaganza that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in improvisational theatre.

Venturing into the uncharted depths of a solo improv show, Stephen Sim embraces the challenge of the most dangerous and lonely of all improv shows.

But Sim is not alone in his endeavour. Behind the scenes, a dedicated team has worked tirelessly to bring this show to life. Sim’s long-time collaborator, DJ Hunnicutt, will lend his musical talents to score most of the shows. Other musical guests are yet to be announced and are sure to delight you musically.

After three decades of enchanting audiences with his comedic brilliance at the Winnipeg Fringe and numerous improv shows, Sim embarks on a daring new adventure, a microcosm of hilarity and inventiveness – The SMALLEST Stupid Improv Show.” Get ready to be astonished as Sim pushes the boundaries of comedy, delivering a masterclass in improvisational artistry – you won’t want to miss a second of it.
