Mino­gondaa­gan is about rec­on­cil­i­a­tion. Through­out the series, Indige­nous and non-Indige­nous peo­ple will share per­son­al sto­ries, ideas, research and exper­tise, and to cre­ate a new sto­ry togeth­er as we walk toward rec­on­cil­i­a­tion. We have pro­duced this pod­cast in part­ner­ship with the Uni­ver­si­ty of Manitoba’s Office of Indige­nous Engage­ment with assis­tance from the Com­mu­ni­ty Radio Fund of Cana­da and the Uni­ver­si­ty of Man­i­to­ba Student’s Union. Each episode attempts to explore a theme, engag­ing in dis­cus­sions that seek a com­mon expe­ri­ence that will start to bring us to a place of understanding.

  • Elissa Black Wolf Kixen - Executive Producer

    Elissa Black Wolf Kixen is an Anishinaabe Two Spirit Comedian/Producer whose roots lay in Couchiching First Nation, Ontario. They have travelled across Canada and the USA as a Comedian and improviser. They use comedy as a tool in dealing with racism, homophobia and sexism. They are the Co-founder/Producer of WOKE Comedy Hour, featured on APTN’s The Laughing Drum and Co-produces Queer and Present Danger with Chanty Morrastica.

  • Sasha Mark - Associate Producer

    Sasha Mark is a Metis man who grew up in the heart of downtown Winnipeg. He studied Theatre and English at the University of Winnipeg. He is a Canadian Comedian which he is most recognized for being on APTN’s The Laughing Drum.

  • Tim Fontaine - Host

    Tim Fontaine is Anishinaabe from the Sagkeeng First Nation, now living in Winnipeg. He is the Editor-in-Grand-Chief of the satirical website, Walking Eagle News. He's a former CBC journalist and current documentary producer for APTN, where he also hosts The Laughing Drum - a satirical news and talk show.
