On Fri­day, Novem­ber 15th, 2019, Dias­po­ra Dia­logues kicks off with three pro­fes­sion­al work­shops begin­ning for writ­ers, or those want­i­ng to write. Win­nipeg writ­ers David Alexan­der Robert­son and Sal­ly Ito teach MAS­TER­CLASS­ES in Young-Adult Fic­tion, and Writ­ing Your Per­son­al Myth, respectively. 

An all-star pan­el of agents and pub­lish­es heads a HOW TO PITCH PUB­LISH­ERS AND AGENTS. Join­ing us from Win­nipeg is Kar­men Wells, for­mer­ly with Harp­er Collins Cana­da, now head of her own com­pa­ny Shelf Made Cre­ative and Catha­ri­na de Bakker (Edi­to­r­i­al Direc­tor), Great Plains Pub­li­ca­tions; com­ing from Toron­to is Janie Yoon, Asso­ciate Pub­lish­er of House of Anan­si Press and Meg Wheel­er, Inter­na­tion­al Rights Direc­tor and Asso­ciate Agent, West­wood Cre­ative Artists.
