Poetry In Voice National Finals
Poetry, Animated!
Poems may exist on the page, but they truly live on the tongue and on Thursday April 25th at the Winnipeg Art Gallery’s Muriel Richardson Auditorium, a local audience will experience the National Finals of the Poetry In Voice competition.
Featuring works by poets the likes of Sylvia Plath, Arthur Rimbaud, and Katherena Vermette, the national finals gathers high school students from across the country reciting poetry in English and French with an ear for cadence and an eye on $25,000 in prizes.
General admission tickets are $10, and $5 for students, seniors, and scribes and can be purchased now at poetryinvoice.com/2019.
So don’t miss out on the Poetry In Voice National Finals at the WAG, hosted by Rosanna Deerchild and J.R. Léveillé, on Thursday April 25th at 7 pm.
