The Cres­cent Arts Cen­tre presents the ​“MAD about TRAD Jazz Par­ty”, a week­end packed with music, live and con­tour sketch­ing and swing danc­ing all wrapped in the warm joy of the won­der­ful music from the 1920s. 

The week­end fea­tures a band made up of musi­cians from White­horse, Yukon, Van­cou­ver and Win­nipeg who will deliv­er work­shops on how to play hot jazz and swing. Work­shops run through­out the day and include the music work­shops, live sketch­ing and con­tour sketch­ing work­shops and swing dance workshops.

In the evening the band will take the stage and the dancers can take the dance floor and the sketch­ers can set up at their sta­tions and the par­ty will begin. 

This pro­gram was made pos­si­ble with sup­port from New Hori­zons Seniors Fund­ing and The Cres­cent Fort Rouge Unit­ed Church 55+ Pro­grams, Cres­cent Arts Cen­tre Pro­grams and JazzYukon Programs.
