This event is organized by Winnipeg’s Cold Case Festival of Crime Literature celebrating noir, mystery, true crime, thriller, and suspense fiction. Cold Case champions the increasing depth and breadth of the genre and the diversity of crime literature’s creators.
Carolyn Whitzman is a writer and housing policy researcher who lives in Ottawa. She is the author of Suburb, Slum, Urban Village: Transformations in Parkdale, Toronto 1875 – 2000.
Zilla Jones is an African-Canadian lawyer, anti-racist educator, mother, singer and award-winning writer from Treaty 1 territory. Her work is featured in Journey Prize 33: The Best of Canada’s New Black Writers.
