A Manitoba Bluegrass Jamboree
Winnipeg bluegrass banjo picker Tim Osmond presents a night of bluegrass music in the acoustically tuned sanctuary of the Crescent Fort Rouge United Church in Osborne Village on Saturday Oct 15. A short set of Appalachian Old-Time music by Andrew Galloway followed by the Stonypoint Power Trio and The Stanley County Cut-Ups, two of the city’s finest bluegrass ensembles. There are few better rooms in Winnipeg to present four-part harmony singing, rip-roaring fiddle and mandolin solos, and hard-driving bluegrass banjo breaks. To hear them together in this majestic cathedral will be a night to remember for country and folk music fans alike.
