2nd Annual Winnipeg Crankie Festival - The Prairie Vaudeville Revue

The Prairie Vaude­ville Revue car­ries on the great tra­di­tion of fam­i­ly vari­ety enter­tain­ment. The art form known as vaude­ville, where an aver­age evening of enter­tain­ment con­sist­ed of dynam­ic singing, com­e­dy and music, mag­ic, cir­cus and dance. 

The show is curat­ed and direct­ed by Grant Simp­son, 40 year vet­er­an of vaude­ville in the Yukon where he per­formed in and ran a 25 per­son vaude­ville com­pa­ny that ran for over 40 years. 

The show will fea­ture inter­na­tion­al singing-com­e­dy sen­sa­tion Gillian Camp­bell, the epit­o­me of a vaude­vil­lian lead­ing lady. It will also fea­ture the mag­ic and com­e­dy of inter­na­tion­al­ly renowned Bri­an Glow, the com­e­dy and antics of Al Sim­mons, the poet­ry and sto­ries of Peter Paul Van Camp, the Nine­ty-Eight year old vaude­vil­lian vet­er­an, Howard Swan, the cabaret cheek­i­ness of The Divine Miss Jones, The Rag­time Queen her­self — Annie Avery on piano with a band made of of Win­nipeg’s finest musi­cians, Grace Hra­bi, Jesse Popes­ki, Cam­er­an Der­by. Oth­er acts will also include Scott Nolan and oth​ers​.cr
