Theatre Reviews

In this one-person show, writer/performer Trish Parry talks about the time she worked at the Waffle House during the day, while drinking alcohol and injecting drugs at night. I was consistently laughing during this show. The stories are quite funny yet there is an undercurrent of sadness as these people steal to feed their desperate drug habits. Shockingly, the mood changes in the last ten minutes as the events turn serious. I only wished Parry had more confidence in her terrific material, as her delivery was full of ums, ahs and you knows. Still, this show was as satisfying as a tasty meal from the Waffle House.
